Madhur Bhandarkar is known for his realistic films, and it is a known fact that all his films have created controversies before release, but this time things are different. His forthcoming film Fashion finds itself in the midst of controversy from the very beginning.

And the latest story doing the rounds is that Madhur Bhandarkar has shot a wardrobe malfunction scene with Kangana Ranaut. The scene was based on the infamous Carol Gracias wardrobe malfunction incident that happened at the Lakme Fashion Week in 2006. According to news, Carol Gracias was also present when Madhur shot the scene.

It can be recalled that Kangana is playing model Geetanjali Nagpal (a model who found herself on the road to self destruction) and debutante actress model Mugdha Ghodse is playing Carol’s role in Fashion .

So the question is: Why did Kanagna shoot for the controversial scene when Mughda should have? We contacted to Bhandarkar but the filmmaker chose not to comment on it. ”I am not going to talk about the issue. Let the confusion remain!” he told us.

Mugdha too remained mum about the issue. ”I have got instructions from Madhur and the producers to not talk about it.”

It can be recalled that after finalising his female leads - Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranuat and Mugdha Ghodse - Madhur had to struggle to get his male lead. He was in need of an actor who could play a prominent costume designer, and no major star in Bollywood was willing to play a gay designer. After much effort, Madhur managed to rope in Harsh Chaya for the role.

Fashion was in the news once again, when Priyanka was to look anorexic for a specific scene. According to reports she was 54 kgs when she signed the film and Madhur wanted her to lose 8 more kilos.

Madhur Bhandarkar or anyone from the cast didn’t deny the incidents or even choose to comment on them. But the controversial stir has definitely upped the curiosity levels surrounding the film. Be it good or bad publicity, Fashion is being spoken about in the trade circles, and Madhur and gang don’t seem to be minding it even one bit.
