Bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai 33 years old(born 1 November 1973) is former miss world(1994) and famous fashion model.Aishwarya apart from bollywood acted in hollywood ,tamil and telugu movies.She is presently number one actress in hindi movie field and also highly paid actress in history of indian cinema.
Aishwarya Rai is basically from south india born in Karnataka ,in beautiful city Mangalore to Vrinda rai and Krishnaraj Rai.Her father is a marine engineer and mother is a very good writer.Aishwarya Rai has one smart elder brother Adiytya Rai he is three years older then Rai is also in merchant navy, after Aishwarya Rai became bollwood actresses he also co-produced movie with her sister in lead.
Aishwarya Rai’s mother tongue is Kannada and Tulu, she can also speak Tamil,Marathi,Hindi and english.She did her schooling in hyderabad till seventh grade later attended Arya Vidya Mandir at Santacruz.After Aishwarya family relocated to mumbai she entered Ruparel COllege Mumbai.When aishwarya was student she was planning her career to become architect.As aish belongs to traditional hindu family she hase great respect towards elders,faith in god. she attends Siddhi vinayak temple in mumbai regularly with her family.
Rai slowly started showing interest in fashion modelling and made it as part time job while studying architecture.Every one expected she will win Miss India (1994) title but unfortunately lost to Sushmita Sen.Sushmita also won Miss universe(1994) title that year and Ash got chance to attend Miss world competition and this time she proved herself and Aishwarya Rai won miss world title.
Aishwarya Rai in her debut tamil movie ‘Iruvar’ played a double role with Tabu and Mohanlal which is directed/produced by Mani Ratnam.Her first movie in hindi was ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya’that proved a big flop at box office.Later she again went to tamil industry and this time in her third movie ‘Jeans’ from top director Shanker was a hit at box office.Aishwarya again acted in few films in hindi after jeens but most of them where flops and she was treated as ironleg , only after Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999 made her big actresses she later acted in many sucessfull movies like Mohabbatein ,Devdas,Khakee,dhoom 2 so on.Devdas movie in year 2002 was big international hit and gained aish lot of fame , she started getting special invitation to world famous Cannes Film Festival.
Aishwarya Rai was member in cannes film festivel for 3 years.She was elected Most Beautiful women in many events.She became very famous world wide and strated getting hollywood film offers.Aish rejected most of them as they contain nude/kissing sceans.In year 2004 aish acted in ‘Bride and Prejudice’ , her hollywood big project was ‘Mistress of Spices’in year 2006.Dhoom2 her latest release in which she acted in negetative role is big hit.
After big hit “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam”(1999) aishwarya began dating bollywood star Salman Khan they were often seen in public parties and night clubs.Ash and Salman Splitcreated huge sensation in media, Salman said he dumped Ash when he discovered that at 15 years of age Ash lost virginaty to elder man.Khan also said Aishwarya has many secreat sex affairs with many others in movie and political fields.Later Ash started dating other bollywood upcoming actor Vivek Oberoi for few days and presently after she is involved in relationship with other bolly star Abhishek Bachchan.As Abhishek is son of bollyood legend this new love story gained lot of media attention , this new couple where seen together in famous Kasi Vishwanath temple.Latest gossips says she is getting married to abhishek who is younger then her in feb 2007.
